<strong>Winter season at the Deutsche Oper</strong><br /> <br /> Picture the scene of the Montmartre market square in the Deutsche Oper's grandiose, timeless production of La Boheme: the four artist friends Schaunard, Marcello, Colline and Rodolfo – who has freshly fallen in love with Mimì - meet at the Café Momus. The story won't end well, because Mimì has contracted tuberculosis, and the hard, long winters in Paris last longer than the money for firewood, food or medicine. Claude Debussy praised Puccini's depiction of Paris in La Boheme, and you're sure to be enchanted by the musical and theatrical ambiance depicting the atmosphere of a cold winter morning in the city.<br /> La Boheme is an annual favourite of the Deutsche Oper Berlin, as is Hansel & Gretel and The Barber of Sevilla. This year these operas are joined by Tchaikovsky's Eugen Onegin and Verdi's Aida.
