The Schlossgarten is one of the most charming and authentic places to eat in all Berlin, the kind of place you stumble upon by accident and never want to leave. It is just a stone's throw from the elegant Charlottenburg Palace and several other top-class museums, and serves a splendid selection of traditional German food in a wonderful, bright setting that is a pleasure in all weathers (there is a separate small 'Jägerstübchen' room and a large 80-seat Biergarten in summer). Some of the great food we more than recommend includes any of the many game dishes, all made using fresh and seasonal regional products, spicy venison goulash soup, a delicious game Bratwurst, the Berliner calf liver and a surprisingly good choice of fresh fish. We love the place.
