Compared with other European cities, Cannes would be considered a warm holiday destination. Temperatures in the winter months of December, January, and February are between 4°C and 14°C (39°F and 58°F). Throughout the spring months, temperatures rise to 21°C (70°F). July and August are the hottest months, temperatures are between 19°C and 28 °C (66°F and 83°F) every day. In the Fall the highest temperature averages 25°C (77°F) and the lowest temperature is 12°C (54°F).

Crime & Safety

In general, France is a safe country, however, places that see heavy traffic of tourists like Paris and the cities and towns on the French Riviera (which includes Cannes) do see a rising number of pickpocketing and other non violent theft crimes, especially in museums, train stations, and other places of interest such as beaches. Visitors to Cannes are usually advised to be aware of their surroundings and ensure they keep valuables well hidden and out of sight.

Hospitals

There are a few good hospitals in Cannes that visitors can go it in case of an emergency. Centre Hospitalier de Cannes is located in Rue Du Pont St Victor and it is possible to make an appointment online. They offer care to patients with different conditions. Another good hospital in Cannes is Clinique Cannes Oxford located on Boulevard d'Oxford. Here they have specialists in different fields such as Ophthalmology, Gastroenterology, Gynecological Surgery, general medicine, and many others.

Public Toilets

There are about 5 public toilets in Cannes and they are spread in the areas where tourists flock to. The Free Public Toilet is located in Boulevard de la Croisette, next to the brewery, Croisette Corner at Square Reynaldo Hahn. Another public bathroom, Toilettes, is next to Port de Cannes. In Le Suquet, there is W.C du Suquet Public Bathrooms at Traverse de la Tour. There is also a bathroom at 6 Boulevard du Midi Jean Hibert, near Le Vieux Port.

Tap Water

Tap water is safe to drink according to the tourist information office but it is also indicated that the water is chlorinated heavily thus mineral water that is sold in the shops is recommended.
