Opened in the summer of 2015, the Sara Nussbaum Center for Jewish Life is a secular spot where people can come and learn about the history of the Jewish population in Kassel through temporary and permanent exhibitions, along with plenty of lectures and workshops. The centre is named after Sara Nussbaum, an honourary Kassel citizen who survived the Nazi Holocaust and even saved lives in the camps. The centre is visited only by making a prior reservation.
