One of the many strengths of Kato's annual Ars Cameralis Festival is its diversity and the unique interdisciplinary, eclectic attitude. The festival combines art events, music concerts, literature lectures, theatre performances, film screenings, a variety of workshops, and meetings with artists. The most exciting aspect of the festival each year is the international musicians it brings to Silesia, playing intimate (and crazy affordable) concerts in small venues like Hipnoza and Kino Rialto. This year's festival features concerts by Donny McCaslin - the saxophonist who gained international attention due to his collaboration with David Bowie on his final album, Blackstar (Nov. 17), Jessica Pratt (Nov. 14), Weyes Blood(Nov. 19), Jenny Hval (Nov. 23), Laura Gibson (Nov. 15), Tryp and Dillon. Exhibitions this year by Monika Grzymała/Damien Deroubaix, Roman Cieślewicz, and Bartek Buczek; meetings with Krüger/Różycki/Gembalski, Leszek Libera/Sława Lisiecka/Szymon Kloska, Adonis/Hatif Janabi/Marek Dziekan; workshops with Sylwia Grudniak, Grzegorz Jankowicz, Grzegorz Olszański; film screenings: BAFTA Shorts 2019. The events take place in various venues across Silesia.
