As a way of "warming up" fans before the JazzArt Festival, Danish duo Bremer/McCoy will perform their minimalist, hypnotic music at the fittingly-named Hipnoza jazz club. Formed in 2012 by former school friends Jonathan Bremer (double bass) and Morten McCoy (piano), the band debuted with the album "Enhed" in 2013, quickly gaining attention for its minimalist, dialogue-focused sound. Both musicians were nominated for the prestigious Danish critics' award, Steppeulven, in the categories of Musician of the Year and Composer of the Year, with Jonathan Bremer receiving the Musician of the Year award. The duo's latest release, "Kosmos," is their sixth album and the next stage of their consistently developing, original musical vision.
