People existing in the social labyrinth of various structures is captured in gray tones and hues. It’s the first exhibit of Czech photographer Vladimír Birgus’ work in Katowice. There are almost 80 works on display at the Silesian Museum which include his pieces from the 70’s up until his more contemporary works. The retrospective nature of the exhibit allows tracking Birgus’ path from social themes in documentary photos to more abstract forms. The artist attended FAMU in Prague where he later became a lecturer.
