Where to find the best local beer

The best craft beer in Klaipėda? That’s a tricky one because it’s all good. The Lithuanian word for beer is alus. Practice your new Lithuanian language skills in any of the following craft beer bars.

Local brewer Švyturys’ in-house bar, BHouse serves a magnificent range of craft beers in a hanger-like space with a view through large glass windows of the contraptions the stuff’s made in. Get here early for one of the better tables and try their recommended bar snacks.

A comfortable cellar bar during the winter, Herkus Kantas opens a fine outdoor terrace during the warmer months. Both are good, but neither are as good as the range of beers they sell.

An Old Town favourite, Žvejų Baras stocks a fine range of craft beer and is also the best place to come to try out some of their familiar and more unusual pub games.
