Lodz

The Mexican

A total catastrophe, and a pointed reminder of the days when eating in Łódź was hazardous to health. Strange then that the face details are so right: set in an adobe house The Mexican looks great, and as pretty Tequila girls trot into view most diners will be left nodding and thinking, yes, oh yes. It’s all downhill from there mind, and that’s thanks to a calamitous cookbook that hammers an admirable cuisine; here cilantro is swapped for cabbage, salsa for goo and fresh tortillas for shopping mall substitutes. Even the margaritas will make you grimace. Weirdly, all that fails to dent their popularity, and you’ll find it bustling from opening till late.

I ate at the Mexican with my father-in-law who IS part mexican and the food was more spanish than authentic mexican. The enchilada description was nothing like the ones I get back in Texas. I cannot recommend this restaurant to anyone desiring anything close to authentic Mexican food.

Been a student in Lodz for 4 years and I've eaten here many times. The interior is filled with Corona bottle chandeliers, tons of Mexican decor, a wood fire in the winters and a beautiful staff dressed like they are ready to go do the cha cha. They will make you wait 2 hours for your food. When it comes to the food don't expect your typical enchilada or burrito. As mentioned cabbage will be the most prevalent vegetable in your plate, however if you can get past that you will find that the "Mexican" food in your plate isn't half that bad. Drinks are definitely worthwhile...with huge Margaritas and tequila served by a very nice senorita...who will go shot for shot with you if you'd like....All in all...not a bad place to have dinner

How right you are. How does this chain continue to survive is beyond levels of comprehension. Call that salsa?
