Abelard Giza returns with his show titled “People Hold Onto Your Hats.” He is a film and theater director and is usually associated with the cabaret Limo, which he created. Stand-up comedy is becoming increasingly popular in Poland, and there is only one rule to it: no topic is taboo. This means controversial and touchy subjects are all fair game. “People Hold Onto Your Hats” is Giza’s newest program and a cross section of what’s been on his mind. Many characters appear on stage, like kindergarteners, goblins and even Caesar. Thanks to constructive criticism from shows in Gdansk, Elblag and Koszalin, Abelard Giza finally decided what he wants to show the people of Lodz.
