Poznański Mill Gate

  ul. Ogrodowa 18     10 Mar 2026
This ornate brick and iron gate is the entrance to the Poznański cotton mill, and it gives an understanding of the impressiveness of this space.
Now, you can pretty easily trace all the former lives of this space, starting with the gate. Behind it and to the right is a building that housed the company directors (still with their original marble interior). To the left behind the entrance is the 170-metre main factory building, and the corner towers once contained water tanks and ventilation shafts.
By entering the complex through the Poznański gate, where workers used to file through every day on their way to the mills, you’ll arrive at the project's ground zero: the Rynek (main square). In summer, this place really comes into its element, with a phalanx of beer gardens, an artificial beach and open-air concerts by international names.
