Soundedit is a unique festival putting Łódź on the map in terms of the global music industry. The Soundedit Festival is the only event dedicated to music producers—one of the most creative, yet often underrated and underrepresented professional groups in the industry. Often hiding in the shadows of big-name celebrities and musicians, music producers and sound designers are ultimately the ones responsible for shaping the recordings that reach the masses and become the soundtracks to our lives. Not only does the festival draw big names and large crowds; its "Man with the Golden Ear" statuette has become an increasingly coveted award of recognition in the international music scene. This year it is awarded to Stanisław Soyka, Polish jazz and pop singer, pianist and composer. The artist invited his musician friends to perform alongside him: Natalia Niemen, vocalist, and violist, the daughter of Polish cult singer, Czesław Niemen, and Czesław Mozil, the artist playing hard-to-classify music, with pieces of cabaret, rock, and even punk rock. In addition to Stanisław Soyka's performance, an audience will have a pleasure of listening to Nitzer Ebb and DAF. There will also be educational activities for kids, screening of the animated feature "Jacek and Placek", and in the evening the cult Polish band Lady Pank will perform the music from the film "O Dwóch Takich Co Ukradli Księżyc" (Two Kids that Stole the Moon).
