The Second Polish Republic on a plate and in a glass, refers to the old traditional Polish cuisine of the interwar period – the 20s and 30s of the 20th century. Niepospolita was created out of a passion for history, culture and cuisine of that period, as well the all essential knowledge of good taste! Guests are welcomed into this cozy little art-deco restaurant, with sofas upholstered in stylish green velour and arches according to designs that can seen in art of the Second Polish Republic time period. Located on the ground floor of a historic tenement house at the Lublin Old Town's Market Square, the owners have painstakingly restored many of the old furnishings on the premises, including a stunning pre-war sideboard with mermaid inlays in the door. On the first floor is an additional space, filled with old newspapers, photos and posters from pre-war Lublin, that is available upon reservation. A large summer garden is also functioning in the warmer months, which is a great way to take in the surrounds of the city's historic centre!
