Św. Michał Regional Pub

  ul. Grodzka 16     28 May 2024
Named in reference to the church that once stood across the way (now only the foundations exist), legend has it that Sw. Michał (ENG: Saint Michael) apparently came to a Krakowian prince in a dream, as he slept under an oaktree on the nearby hill.

He commanded the Prince to take his army and pursue a tribe of Lithuanians who had been attacking the city, an order of which was carried out to great success, thus earning the former church’s namesake. As for the restaurant, this is a fantastic multilevel building with an early 20th century design, complete with button-padded upholstery and stained-glass lamping over every booth. The bar sports a decent range of beer, and even features a ‘beer chart’ explaining the geneaology of different brews.
