Jarocin Festival
This massive three-day summer music festival draws thousands of Polish guitar rock fans each year to the small Wielkopolska town of Jarocin, located about 1 hour/70km southeast of Pozna艅. Focusing on Polish rock, punk rock and alternative music, including a lot of Polish legacy acts, but also up-and-comers, the festival takes place on multiple stages on the town's football pitches, and includes a camping zone. Known as the聽'Polish Woodstock'聽(before Jerzy Owsiak started his own Polish Woodstock festival), the Jarocin Festival聽draws a multi-generational crowd, some of whom have been coming for decades. In fact, the festival has been running since the 1970s and was once considered one of the biggest and most important rock music festivals in Europe. It enjoyed a particular level of popularity in the 1980s, when the music on its stages was a stark contrast and push back against the realities of communist Poland, giving voice to PL's countercultural movements.聽After the fall of the regime, the Jarocin Festival lost some of its popularity and was even suspended for a few years, following out-of-control riots and mosh pits that were just a tad too aggressive. Since then, it has been revived and continues to deliver amped-up guitar music to the eager masses.

Jarocin Festival's 2026 line-up so-far includes Houk, Acid Drinkers, Dezerter, Happysad, Negatyw, The Bill, Farben Lehre聽and more. Check the festival website for full details.
