This year is the 16th edition of Ethno Port festival. Featuring music from around the world (and we mean a legitimately diverse selection), this music festival crosses all sorts of boundaries into visual arts, literature, theatre, dance, and cinema. In previous years, Ethno Port has hosted artists from Mali, Hungary, Norway, Ukraine, Maroko, Columbia, India, Egypt, Spain, France, Romania, New Guinea and Cape Verde, among many others. This year, interesting moments will include a concert by the Polish-Ukrainian Skovoroda Youth Choir, formed by CK ZAMEK under the patronage of Ukraine's most famous poet and philosopher, Hryhoriy Skovoroda, and a highly-anticipated premiere of Common Routes, a project that was created with the support of Creative Europe, featuring musicians from Iran, France, Belarus and Poland, and represented by Malwina Paszek from Poznan. Traditional sounds from other corners of the globe include Kurdish singer and instrumentalist RUSAN FILIZTEK with his band (Turkey/France), representatives of the Aka Pygmies, performing unique polyphonic music, representing the ancient culture of the rainforest dwellers NDIMA (Congo Brazaville), South Korean bands combining jazz and tradition: SINNOI and CELLOGAYAGEUM (in cooperation with the Jarasum Jazz Festival), and the family group ZENE'T PANON from Reunion Island. We will also hear sounds coming from Europe - MARIA MAZZOTTA Trio Italy (Sounds of Europe - Creative Europe), STELIOS PETRAKIS QUARTET (Greece), or the band KOSY (Poland). Afro-Caribbean group CONJUNTO PAPA UPA from the Netherlands, folk-punk band BOHEMIAN BETYARS from Hungary (both bands from the Sounds of Europe program under Creative Europe), or Ukrainian bands US ORCHESTRA and BALAKLAVA BLUES. Don't worry, purchased tickets for the original date in June remain valid and entitle you to enter the event!
