Shopping

Malta’s diversity lies not only in its restaurants and cultural spots, but also in its choice of shopping joints. Older village women still make their daily trips to the local bazaars and mini-markets for a bit of gossip. Here, you’ll be able to stock up on your daily essentials, aside from some rowdy Maltese banter. But for some serious shopping, the larger supermarkets provide much more than the basic bread, milk, and cheese.

Shops tend to be more spread out over the country due to its small size. But the biggest concentration lies in the central and most built-up part of the island. Malta offers a few shopping malls housing international brands, with an okay selection of clothes. Just don’t be alarmed if you turn up at a party to find your twin. Perhaps next time better shop for your party dress in Paris, London, or Rome?
