An environmental protection company part owned by Gorenje d.d, the Šoštanj Thermal Power Plant and the Velenje Colliery, its role is to perform environmental studies, conduct research on environmental impacts and pollution, monitor environmental conditions and provide remediation. The institute‘s function is essentially to ensure that legislative demands are met, by providing the abovementioned services and collaborating with people and businesses around Slovenia and in throughout southeastern Europe, where some challenging projects have been implemented in the last few years.
