One of the great 19th century Japanese artists, Utagawa Kuniyoshi was one f the last of a dying breed. Manga and Anime simply wouldn’t exist without his work, a smorgasbord of expressive imagery that wowed the general public as much then as it does today. The importance of the woodblock print is embraced here, through the works of Masumi Ishikawa, Megumi Ōishi and graphic designer Andrew Archer.
