The name of Irish painter Sean Scully is practically synonymous with abstract paintings of colourful stripes or rectangles, but the Turner Prize-nominated artist is about more than colourful lines. This fascinating exhibition at the Albertina takes an altogether more personal subject to its heart — a collection of 23 oil paintings of Scully’s seven-year-old son playing on the beach in the Bahamas.
