Expand your cinematographic horizons with New Horizons International Film Fest. Along with the usual touching, avant-garde, and thought-provoking independent films (vying for a substantial cash prize) there will be all sorts of artistic events, including exhibitions, audiovisual projects, and screenings on the Main Square. One of the most important events will be a retrospective of films by Jacques Rivette who passed away in January 2016. He was a master of the French New Wave, realist and visionary, director of cult-favorite films that are radical and spectacular all at once. The 2017 festival is very excited to announce its review of New Israeli Cinema. The program features about 14 films from 2014-2017 - features and documentaries, as well as works at the intersection of film and the visual arts.
