Little Mango Mama is all grown up, and my, how she's changed - for the worse. What was once a plasticky hole-in-the-wall serving amazing Asian food in Wrocław's less-than-glamorous Nadodrze district, a draw for expats and Asian food enthusiasts alike, is now a glammed-out multiple-level establishment right in the touristy heart of the city. That by itself should be good, a deserved burst into the mainstream of popular eateries, but both the food and the service have suffered - quite dramatically - in the process. It could have been worse; at least the dishes don't taste like they were prepared by a Polish person, and that's because they weren't (as you can see for yourself by peeking into the semi-open kitchen), but clearly a disastrous shortage of spices or some similar calamity has occurred, since Indian food has never tasted more bland. As for the wait staff, for all the running around that goes on suspiciously little actually gets done, so be prepared to grab that mango lassi you ordered 15 minutes ago off the counter by yourself, or stare at it forlornly across the room as the glass begin sweating. Expect overpriced, disappointing pad thai and other wok specialties, samosas, pakora, masalas, and naan as tough as the sole of your shoe.
