"Wrocław demands access to the sea!" is the slogan of this annual festival of sea shanties, sailing songs and folk music. Sea shanties are a surprisingly popular musical genre in Poland, and this fun family event will feature some of the biggest acts in the game, plus concerts for children. With the genre's ties to Irish and Celtic music, don't be surprised to know many of the melodies, or even hear many songs in English. As solid a crew of music enthusiasts as you'll find anywhere, the salty, sea-creased crowd makes great company, especially at the afterparties (most likely in Stary Kalsztor), so follow their northern star once the official festivities have finished.
