“Looking for a Tour of Jewish Warsaw - book Hubert Pawlik” normally do not go on tours, preferring to explore a city by myself. But because my time was limited I decided to book Jewish History of Warsaw with Hubert. I am so glad that I did so. Simply put I would not have been able to understand – let alone find – the remnants of Jewish Warsaw. Others reviews have commented on Hubert’s incredible knowledge on the history of Warsaw and Poland, his excellent command of English, his professionalism and his willingness to adapt the tour to your interests – all of which is true. But above all Hubert brings an incredible personal touch, sensitivity and warmth to the tour. My mother was born in Warsaw and left just before the war, so this was not an easy visit for me. Hubert found the perfect balance between showing me the sights, offering a detailed explanation but also giving me the personal space to reflect and think. Visiting Warsaw was an unforgettable and moving experience and I am really grateful to Hubert for the way he showed me the city. Anyone wanting to see and understand the former Jewish quarter of Warsaw needs to hire Hubert as their guide – you will not be disappointed.

ESN AGH Kraków”At the beginning of November I had a pleasure to prepare a trip to Warsaw for foreign people studying at AGH, so-called Erasmus. One of the most important parts of our stay there was guided walk trough the city. We had this pleasure to meet a great guide who was really fascinated by the idea to show his city to young people. Hubert was perfectly organized and well-prepared and had many ideas what to show us in Warsaw (eventually we agreed the best choice were Starówka with Zamek Królewski). He called me many times before the trip just to be sure we would enjoy the sightseeing. He was also patient (as we were a little late for the meeting point). But I suppose the most important thing is that Hubert is always ready to give a good advice. Moreover he has no problems with getting on well with people and Erasmus students really liked his sense of humor and interesting stories he shared with us.Thank you very much!

“Treblinka and back....”Like many I rely on reviews such as these and recommendations to finalize searches for hotels, guides, etc. I travel a good deal and on this trip used Mr. Pawlik's services out of Warsaw to take me to and educate me on the WWII camp at Treblinka. This leg of the trip (had already done visits to five other camps) became the highlight of the week largely due to the efforts of Hubert. He took care of the details as you might expect, but it was the extra care to make certain I received a thorough orientation and the information being sought for my writing that made a marked difference. He took time to follow up with pictures and additional data addressing some of my questions. Most appreciated was him purchasing and mailing a book which opened several new aspects of the subject matter and will provide valuable additional information. This gentleman understands the meaning of service and merits my wholehearted recommendation

“An interesting afternoon in Warsaw”Hubert Pawlik was my guide for an afternoon tour of Warsaw. During the tour, I appreciated his deep knowledge of the city's history, culture and architecture. His English was clear, and his explanation fully detailed, enjoyable and interesting.

"Jewish Warsaw Tour with Hubert” Last August 2011, I booked Jewish Warsaw tour with Hubert. He picked us up at our hotel on his car, took us to places which I oftenly hear about and wish to see & visit. A very knowledgeable guide with good command of English which make things a lot easier, to sum it up an excellent guide. I would recommend him to anyone who is interested in the history of Warsaw as well as regarding Jewish heritage. Thank you for sharing your thoughts and time. Keep up the good work.

"Warsaw WWII Sites - Day Trip” Hubert Pawlik was very knowledgable and friendly for an afternoon whirlwind tour of Warsaw highlighting key World War II locations in the city. Hubert's English was very good, to the point that even my 70yo father with a hearing aid could understand. It was my father and myself and a rainy afternoon in Warsaw, but Hubert punctuated the very serious nature of the tour with pleasant humor and insightful commentary. I would highly recommend him to anyone traveling to the area.

My husband and I were in Warsaw in April and we were interested to learn more of the history of Warsaw particularly covering the 20th century and the war years. Hubert picked us up from our hotel in his vehicle and gave us a most detailed tour of Warsaw, taking in the Army Museum and other places that we wished to visit. He is a very knowledgable guide with an excellent command of English and I would not hesitate to recommend him. The best tailor made tour around.

I have visited Warsaw with Hubert two years in a row. The first was a family visit which he made fascinating for each member of the party, regardless of age. The second was for me to research an article for my website, maryaliciatravel.com and again Hubert made the trip perfect from meeting me at the airport to seeing me off again. Touring with him means avoiding language and transportation problems while at the same time profiting from the inside knowledge of a third generation Warsovian. An amazing guide to an amazing city.

Our family group of nine have just returned from a memorable five day visit to Warsaw, Treblinka and the vllages in the Bialystok area of Lapy and Michalowo where our parents and one of the cousins accompanying us were born and lived. The entire trip was arranged, orchestrated, researched and expertly guided by Hubert Pawlik.Hubert saw to our every need, from hotel accommodation and comfortable transportation to special dietary needs and adherence to our limited time framework. He was relentless in his quest to search for our family origins strecing back over 100 years. His tenacious detective work unearthed family homes, addresses, burial grounds and schools. Hubert so immersed himself and identified with our emotions that he had us (and himself) clearing the earth and overgrowth in unmarked fields and forests to uncover long-forgotten headstones and remnants of graves not mentioned in any guidebook.Hubert imparted his vast knowledge of Poland, the pre-war years and the horrors of the holocaust with such empathy and feeling that we came to identify him as one of the family.Anyone choosing Hubert as a guide will certainly be rewarded with an amazing and meaningful visit.Thank you Hubert.

My wife and I had Hubert as a guide to Jewish history for 2 days in Warsaw and Nowy Dwor... On the first day, Hubert spent over 6 hours with us walking us through the Jewish history of Warsaw and showing us places of significance. Hubert is extremely knowledgeable of the Jewish history of Warsaw, we were able to see all that we came for and then some. On the second day, we traveled to Nowy Dwor (the town of my maternal grandfather). Although Hubert had never been there, he thoroughly researched what was there and where it was. He even tried to identify the location of their family home. Especially moving was the Nowy Dwor Jewish cemetary (or what remains of it). With a new memorial, it is under lock and key... but Hubert made a few phone calls and before we knew it, we had access. Although Hubert is not Jewish, he is quite educated in the history and culture of the Jewish people and I would highly recommend him to anyone planning a trip to Warsaw that involves Jewish history and culture. Ten out of ten!!!

I highly recommend Warsaw-Guide for a private driving&walking tour. The owner, HubertPawlik took us around(me and my German Guests) and he was extremely knowledgeable and spoke English very well. We saw and learned an incredible amount in our “Best of Warsaw” 6 hour driving& walking tour. It would have taken us several days and several guide books to see as much if we were guiding ourselves around. He was also very reasonable. Thank You!!!
