Neues Palais

  Am Neuen Palais, Potsdam      +49 331 969 42 00     more than a year ago
Frederick the Great, the II, preferred the simpler Schloss Sanssouci, but the 'New Palace' was where his descendants Wilhelm I and Wilhelm II razzled and dazzled guests. View the studies, bedrooms and party rooms; the stone- and shell-encrusted Muschelsaal is like a grotto and amongst so many chandeliers it's Karl Friedrich Schinkel's 'crown of kings' that stands out. Take bus N°605 or 606 from Potsdam Central Station.
