47km north east of Bratislava lies Trnava, known regionally as ‘Little Rome’. Why Little Rome, we hear you scream? The town gets its epithet thanks largely to the number of churches that are found here, but there is more to the town than a vibrant spiritual core. The city also has a charming pedestrian centre, with some of the country’s finest museums waiting to be explored.
