Kassel

[closed] Samuel Beckett's Garden

Friedrichsplatz     more than a year ago
Irish writer Samuel Beckett visited Kassel eight times between 1928 and 1932, visiting his cousin and first love Peggy, and spending many weeks in the city. This central Biergarten is a great place to grab a Guinness, Kilkenny, or a glass of organic wine, or have some sandwiches, Flammkuchen or Ahle Wurscht sausage. The local Samuel Beckett Society also organises various events and concerts.
