I Solisti di Pavia is a flexible group of string players, appearing both as a small ensemble and a chamber orchestra and thus presenting a broad range of chamber programmes. Dynamic and respectful towards the needs of modern-day audience, the ensemble is continuously engaged in innovative media and educational projects, and dedicates much effort to the promotion of contemporary music, young and less known composers. The broad range of its repertory is also reflected in the ensemble’s current programme, which features the playfulness (Rossini) and pensiveness (Sibelius) of Romanticism, the passion of Argentine tango (Piazzolla), the tunefulness of Italian music (Roberto Molinelli), and intellectual adventures of modern music (Bartók).
