Unveiled in 1972 with the opening of the brutalist ‘Central’ Department Store (SDH ‘Central’), this iconic neon sign - measuring 520 × 620cm - consists of six animated phases of a man and woman ‘getting dressed.’ It remains one of the most distinctive examples of communist-era neon advertising in Łódź and a lasting symbol of the city’s visual identity. After disappearing in the 1990s, it was revived in LED form and reinstalled in 2022.
