Karol Poznanski Palace
It’s worth jumping off Piotrkowska at Adam Próchnika to check out this grand residential palace. Constructed in 1904 for famed Łódź industrialist, Izrael Poznański’s son, Karol, the palace is done in the traditional Neo-Renaissance style and contains opulent interiors, decorated stucco ceilings, marble fireplaces, gorgeous stained glass, and all kinds of beautiful wood furniture that the early 20th-century elite loved so much.
Now, it’s no longer home to the city’s rich and famous, but rather houses the Academy of Music in Łódź, which is great for visitors because it means you’re able to pop inside to see all the opulence, and even catch a live concert!
