There’s not much to Szafa, a basic upstairs hall decorated with some boozy memorabilia and stuff from the local art school, but memorable nights prove as common as they are long. All our visits have coincided with some battle of the bands evening, meaning angry vegan girls in Doc Martens being chatted up by dreadlocked dropouts; good fun if you like that sort of thing. Film screenings for nonsmokers take place every Tuesday at 17:00, and the smokers get their chance at 20:00, all for free.
