This superb museum and gallery features tons of excellent modern art, courtesy of progressive artists from a number of countries, including Poland. The mission of the museum is to provide an environment where "contemporary audiences can interact with the heritage of past and present generations of artists."



And, in our eyes, they deftly meet that goal! The museum collects and displays all kinds of excellent art pieces, hosts arts events and supports arts research and promotion at all levels. Specifically, they focus on promoting progressive arts practices. 



Find plenty of excellent temporary exhibits here, like the current exhibit "Ways of Seeing. Collection of Muzeum Sztuki in Łódź" which focuses on the phenomenon of "seeing" in several thematic chapters (until the end of the year). Or "In the Eye of the Storm. Modernism in Ukraine" which tells the story of modernist artists and the visual experiments through which they sought to renew Ukraine’s culture and autonomy.
