The Grand Theatre of Łódź is offering you the perfect ballet evening, with three young choreographers: Grzegorz Brożek, Joshua Legge, and the especially seminal Jacek Przybyłowicz, all known in Łódź and further abroad, who have prepared their choreographic visions to three respected musical works: Karol Szymanowski's Mandragora, Displaced (to the Concerto in E minor, Op. .85 by Edward Elgar) and the iconic Bolero by Maurice Ravel. Each one is different in mood and style, each one is intriguing and emotionally stimulating, and all three - in their stage and choreographic expression deepened by the imagination and sensitivity of choreographers - are extremely thought-provoking and involving for the audience. Another undeniable advantage is the unique opportunity to witness contemporary ballet interpretations of the great musical works of composers, some of which are seemingly distant and seemingly incomprehensible to us in the 21st century. Indeed, they can suddenly sense to us through a modern artistic medium. This is a truly unique event that should not be missed.
