This is the first exhibition of the project JUST ON TIME. Design Stories about Latvia. Pēteris Martinsons (1931–2013) is perhaps Latvia’s best-known ceramics artist. Although he studied to be an architect, the medium of clay eventually became his passion. He is considered to be a pioneer and an innovator in ceramics and was already recognised internationally as such in the 1970s when he was admitted to the International Academy of Ceramics in Geneva (Switzerland).
