Veliky Novgorod's hands down most popular sight is the Kremlin although around the town itself there are plenty of other well-preserved historical sights to admire. It's also worth taking the time to go out of town to visit a monastery or the open air museum of wooden architecture which is just a 20 minute bus journey away.
