The exhibition presents more than forty exhibits – old postcards, books and photocopies from the collections and methodical library of the House-Museum of F. M. Dostoevsky. The most important exhibit of the display is the publication of Vladimir Pylaev "Staraya Russa" (1916), which until now is one of the main sources of the study of the history of the ancient city. Pictures and drawings made by German photographers and artists during the great Patriotic war reflect the tragic period in the fate of Staraya Russa. Views of the city on postcards of the Soviet era reminiscent of the postwar past, filled with peace and creation.
