Cohesive narratives are for amateurs. Okay, that isn’t entirely true, but it is a mentality that Rosalind Nashashibi has imbued her films with, choosing instead to focus on intertwining plot-lines and sequences of events from the real world in order to create something that is as much poetry as it is cinema. A nominee for the Turner Prize back in 2017, Nashashibi brings a new piece of work to Secession in the summer of 2019, a major piece of art that has taken up plenty of time over the years. We can’t wait.
