How will the ‘90s be remembered? We’re not entirely sure if we remember that hallowed decade clearly, but that’s another story for another day. It was an incredibly influential decade, one that saw an old word exchanged for an altogether more exciting one, a world full of technology, bright lights, brand new experiences and the rest. Time Is Thirsty is an ambitious installation covering art, language, smell, sound and experience, calling back to the early days of the Kunsthalle (opened in 1992). An exhibition in name, a journey through time and space in practice.

The exhibition will complain a wide range of artworks and artefacts from the early ‘90s, although anyone expecting a bog-standard exhibition is in for something approaching a rude awakening. History is presented in a modern complex, blurring the lines between interpretation and understanding. We do love things like this, the blending of memory with existence. Gestures, emotions, moments and the rest, this is the sort of experience that will awaken all sorts of emotions within you.
