Contesting the Myths - Cuban posters in the '60s and '70s

The exhibition features Cuban, Czechoslovakian and Polish political,  film, theatrical and other artistic posters created during the so-called "poster boom" period in the '60s and '70s in those countries.  During those years the poster art achieved artistic prominence, equal to other forms of art. The exhibition is an attempt to juxtapose Cuban poster art with the poster art created in Poland and Chechoslovakia at that time. Can one talk about the national poster art schools? Were these posters original creations or imitations? Those are the questions the visitors are invited to ponder.
