In the historic Wilanów collection created by successive owners of the palace, there is a mysterious image of Christ the Saviour(Salvator Mundi), as well as other interesting paintings included in the group of the so-called "leonardiana", including, among others, works by Bernardino Luini. The current exhibition focuses on "Leonard's myth" exemplified in Polish collections by several dozen works (paintings, drawings, engravings). Many of them need to be officially recognised, so this is a "research" exhibition which not only presents these extraordinary artworks, but also the history and a context of their acquisition. In addition, the exhibition presents technologically advanced research methods and their results as well as methods of assessing their age.
