Bangladeshi art has a perennial history which originated more than two thousand years ago. It is  influenced by a mixture of Islam, Buddhism, Hinduism and plenty of local beliefs.. The current art exhibition is organised around river and poetry, two pillars of Bangladeshi culture, which is also reflected in the exhibition's title Nodir kule kule (with the stream).  It is a quote from a song by the most famous Bengali poet, Rabindranath Tagore, which later became the national anthem. Local arts and crafts will be on display as well as a valuable collection of prints.
