Wilanów Lake & Island

  ul. S.K. Potockiego 10/16 ,   No District         08 Jul 2024
There’s a natural lake found behind Wilanów Palace, with seasonal gondolas complete with gondoliers, paddle boats, and kayaks all on the water from May until the end of August (weather permitting). A trip here will reward you with a glimpse of Enrico Marconi’s strange, Gothic-inspired pump room, and an adventure to the island at the centre of the lake island reveals a monument to the Polish soldier, Captain Ksawery Burski, who served in the army of the Duchy of Warsaw and gave his life at Wilanów fighting the Austrians at the Battle of Raszyn in 1809.

Now, the lake serves as a beautiful spot to take photos, meander around, and even rent a boat! Yes, those gondolas, paddleboatsd and kayaks we mentioned are available for rent at 20/10 zł for a gondola cruise or 300 zł for a gondola rental. Paddleboats run for between 40 and 100 zł depending on how long you want to be on the water, and kayaks are between 20 and 50 zł depending on the length of the rental.

Open

Open 10:00-21:00.
The Lake is inaccessible from September-April.
