The Jazztopad festival is an opportunity to experience jazz performed by the most innovative and renowned artists of the genre. The 20th edition of the regular autumn festival will to a large extent cherish the legends who have been regulars at the festival creating a unique community of music lovers. Among the highlights of this year's festival will be the opening cocnert dedicated to the late Wayne Shorter (originally planned as his 90th birthday concert). Legends such as Esperanza Spalding, Danilo Pérez, John Patitucci, Terri Lyne Carrington, or Ravi Coltrane on the saxophone will pay homage to the late saxophone wizard. They will be accompanied by the local philharmonic orchestra NFM Filharmonia Wrocławska conducted by Clark Rundell. Also the famous Charles Lloyd, another regular at Jazztoad, will have his birthday concert during the festival. And many more...As always expect spontaneous jazz improvisations, innovations (such as sounds of the instruments of the native Australian inhabitants) as well as community atmosphere such as concerts in private homes and meetings with the artists.
