This moving photographic exhibition is dedicated to the celebrations of Jorcajt (commemorations of Tzadik - the righteous dead), that are staged every year in Lelów, Leżajsk and Radomsko. The story of these traditions is enriched by photographs taken in what is today the Ukraine, in the localities once known as Berdyczów, Humań, Bracław, which were also important centres of the Hasidic movement. Based mostly on images captured by photographer Joanna Sidorowicz, this exhibition at Wrocław's Ethnographic Museum is accompanied by photography and film made by other artists and documentarians - Dariusz Gawroński, Piotr Kras and Jerzy Sobol. The exhibition is further complemented by a film that allows the audience to visit world that disappeared a century ago from the Polish landscape.
