Richard Long, an English sculptor and land artist has been in vanguard of conceptual art in Britain since his early work  A Line Made by Walking in 1967. Through the medium of walking, time, space and distance became new subjects of his art. He is well known for his large sculptures of lines and circles from slate, driftwood, footprints or stone often sourced from quarries near the exhibition sites. In Wrocław Richard Long is going to create the land art out of materials found around the city and its surroundings.
