The tradition of a restaurant under this name overlooking the pergola at Centennial Hall dates back to 1913, and this new restaurant seeks to restore the splendour of those early days. The elegant setting pays homage to its modernist environment with muted colours and greys, accented by dark wood, touches of gold and plenty of plants. Unable to alter the floor plan, curtains run perpendicular to the windows, providing some privacy between tables while also leaving the views of the multimedia fountain unobstructed for all diners. A lovely summer terrace even further blurs the boundaries between indoors and outdoors. The menu changes seasonally, offering modern interpretations of Silesian classics inspired by current trends in world cuisine. Although there are some menu items for children, this is a rather upscale affair, perfect for a romantic evening meal.
