54th edition of Wratislavia Cantans theme is "South" and the star guest performer is Zubin Mehta and Israel Philharmonic Orchestra. It begins when aura of mysticism envelops the Coptic music, beautiful, rich and exotic. This unusual oriental music will be performed by the official choir of the Coptic Orthodox Church, inaugurating the festival. Among other performers will be:  the Wrocław Baroque Orchestra under the baton of Jarosław Thiel, Mala Punica, Greek Byzantine Choir, Swedish Radio Choir and Finnish actress Stina Ekblad, Ensemble Organum, Coro e Orchestra Ghislieri, Odhecaton, Milan’s Il Giardino Armonico,  various folk music groups from Lower Silesia, Wrocław Baroque Ensemble and Giovanni Sollima. The concert version of Porgy and Bess conducted by Wayne Marshall will close the Wratislavia Cantans Festival.
