One of the most welcoming and least pretentious bars on the Vistula, find this veteran riverside hangout at Płyta Desantu Beach near Śmigłego-Rydza Park. In terms of infrastructure, it's little more than a floating dock with a bar, but there are lots of tables and chairs on the sand, an outdoor screen/stage for films, sports and theatre productions nearby, and there are also food trucks around. By day, chill out on the beach, have a grill, rent a kayak or catch the ferry over to Saska Kępa. In the evening, the crowds (and mosquitos) start to pick up and after sunset it’s a massive barefoot danceparty on the sand till dawn as DJs do their thing on the weekends. Like a nonstop summer festival with quite a varied programme day to day, the company is always good and the vibe is always fun, making Pomost one of our favourite spots on the left bank.
