This superb museum and gallery features tons of excellent modern art, courtesy of progressive artists from a number of countries, including Poland. The mission of the museum is to provide an environment where "contemporary audiences can interact with the heritage of past and present generations of artists."



And, in our eyes, they deftly meet that goal! The museum collects and displays all kinds of excellent art pieces, hosts arts events and supports arts research and promotion at all levels. Specifically, they focus on promoting progressive arts practices.

This exhibition explores the operations of the museum’s human-driven “machines”. Looking at the history and present of the Muzeum Sztuki in Łódź, the exhibit focuses not on art history or the annals of a collection known around the world, but all that accompanies it and allows it to operate. It speaks of the invisible actions of many people, conservation, research, and mediatory work, and logistical and technical processes.
