The Canadian indie group Austra, founded by Katie Stelmanis in 2009, is returning to Poland to promote their new album “Future Politics.” Since their debut “Feel it Break,” Austra has been alongside Grimes and Crystal Castles at the very forefront of Canadian electropop. Inspired by Mexican producers who combined electronic and folk, as well as European artists Lena Willikens and Cómeme, Austra’s music brims with creativity and imagination, while also protesting against oppression. Perfect for the dancefloor, but also daily life, their sounds touches the edges of synthpop, dream pop, dark wave and new wave.
